Series Zacchaeus - Comfort for the Oppressor

Jesus was so focused on the marginalized and the oppressed that He was referred to as the “friend of sinners.” But, He also had great concern and compassion for the oppressors, who also need His perfect comfort (Ecclesiastes 4:1). Jesus displays His love for both oppressed and oppressor as He responds to the need of blind Bartimaeus and reaches out to the tax collector, Zaccheus, in a story filled with surprises.

Verse and chapter numbers often make navigating the Bible easier, but they can also make seeing certain connections more difficult. It’s another conversation from the “Zacchaeus” series, and you can hear it today on Discover the Word!
