Series Beauty Full Beings

This series of 10 conversations focuses on our need for wisdom in conflict. If the author of the New Testament letter of James was the half brother of Jesus, as many believe, then he had grown up seeing the gracious ways in which Jesus related to others—first at home, then later in his three years of public life. Now, however, he was deeply concerned about the lack of Jesus-like attitudes he was seeing in those who claimed to be follows of Christ. So James wrote a letter encouraging his readers to realize that the wisdom they need is accessible to all, that it is recognizable, and that a “wisdom from above” can enable us to live together in peace rather than devouring one by a “wisdom from below”.
