Episode Caring for Creation
It's unfortunate that being concerned about the environment has taken on political undertones. But what we'll talk about this week is not about politics. We as Christians belong first to a heavenly kingdom and our value system is shaped and formed by our God. And part of our stewardship and responsibility is to care for the earth God created. God has entrusted us with the care of His creation; we are stewards, not the owners. Join the Discover the Word group this week as they take a closer look at passages in both the Old and New Testaments that reference care for creation.
Chapter 1
What are your thoughts about creation care? We may have different opinions about the idea but join the group this week on Discover the Word to explore some passages of the Bible that speak into the subject. Vivian Mabuni leads Bill Crowder, Elisa Morgan, and Rasool Berry in a series called “Caring for Creation.” Discover how from the beginning, in the first chapters of Genesis, creation care was an issue.

Join us to discover why that’s important as we think about what we’re passing on and leaving behind for future generations.

Aren’t animals an amazing aspect of what God has created? Both wild and domestic, creatures of all kinds are part of God’s handiwork. And so, join the Discover the Word group as they discuss our role as God’s creation caretakers and how that includes care for animals. Discover how creation care can be a way of expressing our love for God and our faith in Him.

Have you thought about how your concern for other people may reflect the way you care for God’s creation? Today the Discover the Word team discusses some surprising Scripture that emphasizes the importance of how we treat others as a “creation care” issue.
