Episode Let Us | Week 2
The Bible is a book of invitations, and in this series, we will explore such invitations in the form of "let us" statements inviting us to join in some aspect of the life of the Christ follower. From worship to purity to endurance to love, these invitations welcome us to live with and for our Lord.
Chapter 6
What are some things the Bible invites you to do, and how do those things help you become more like Jesus? You won’t want to miss Discover the Word this week for the second part of a series called Let Us. Bill Crowder is leading Daniel Ryan Day, Elisa Morgan, and Rasool Berry through some invitations in Scripture that start with those two words—Let Us. They begin in the Old Testament with an invitation to worship from the Psalms. Discover the benefits of doing this in community and how that can change the way we see God.
Chapter 7
In his letter to the Romans, the Apostle Paul shares an invitation to “Let Us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.” That sounds like an overwhelming task but ultimately represents the process of sanctification. Join the Discover the Word group as they explore what that does, and doesn’t, mean and how Jesus is the one who helps us accomplish it!
Chapter 8
Have you ever reached a breaking point and felt like giving up? We all find ourselves weary like that at times, so join the Discover the Word group as they explore an invitation from the letter to the Galatians to “Let Us not lose heart.” Discover how we experience God’s comfort and reap a harvest when we keep going, and don’t “grow weary in doing good.”

Love can be complicated, can’t it? We want to love others and be loved ourselves but often that becomes challenging to do. In this Discover the Word conversation, the group explores the Bible’s invitation to love others. Join them to discover the source of love and how experiencing that love allows us to love others better. Let Us… love one another.
Chapter 10
In one of his letters, Jesus’ disciple John invites us to love as an action and not just as an idea or feeling. But how can we move love from our hearts and minds to our hands and feet? Join the Discover the Word group as they conclude their series about Biblical invitations to become more like Jesus called Let Us. Discover how these invitations motivate us and call us to higher ground.

After exploring some Let Us invitation in the letter to the Hebrews in our last study, is it possible there are other Let Us invitations in other parts of the Bible? Step into five more biblical invitations, outside of Hebrews, that call you to live out your faith in everyday ways: worship God with your whole heart, persevere when faith feels hard, lay aside the sin that holds you back, love others deeply, and put that love into action.
