Reflect

  • Read the verses connected with this episode below. As you reflect on this Scripture, what stands out to you?
  • Elisha cleansed the poisoned stew for a group of prophets during a famine (from 2 Kings 4:38-41). How did this represent God’s provision and how can you apply that in the circumstance of your life?
  • How does it compare when Elisha multiplied bread in the Old Testament to when Jesus multiplied bread in the New Testament; what does this tell you about trusting God to provide?
  • Why might Jesus have retold the story of Elisha healing Naaman (in Luke 4:27), and how can this encourage your faith today?
  • What did Naaman discover about God in the way Elisha told him to find healing, and how does it remind you about who God is?

Respond

(Use this prayer to start a conversation with God)

“Jesus, help me to trust that You will provide everything I need. Help me to see people in my life who need Your healing and help me connect them to You. Help us all to know that there is no God in all the world except You.”
