It has been said that good decisions are the fruit of experience, and that experience is the fruit of bad decisions. Without a doubt, we learn as we live and, as we grow older, we should hopefully accumulate a store of wisdom that we can pass along to the next generation. That is the desire of the psalmist in Psalm 71 as he shares wisdom gained through a life lived with God and passes it on to the generation coming behind him—and to us.
